These athletes represent a spectrum of training excellence, stemming from 4 esteemed National Centers of Excellence located in key cities like Lucknow, Bangalore, Guwahati, and Trivandrum, as well as 17 SAI Training Centers spread throughout India. Held over three days at the Indira Gandhi Sports Complex (New Delhi), the tournament, to take place between August 22 to 26, is being organized to celebrate 50 years of India-Korea diplomatic relations. It’s a platform for athletes to showcase skill, foster cultural exchange, and strengthen diplomatic ties. The championship underscores cooperation and sportsmanship, uniting India and Korea through athleticism.
The All-India Inter SAI Taekwondo Championship 2023 is set to feature a comprehensive competition structure that encompasses different age groups and disciplines within Taekwondo. The championship will be divided into the Cadet (U-14), Junior (U-17), and Senior age groups. Each of these age groups will compete in two main divisions: Poomsae and Sparring (Kyorugi).
- Poomsae Division: In the Poomsae division, participants will showcase their skills in choreographed patterns of movement and techniques. This division is further divided into men’s and women’s divisions. Participants will perform pre-determined Poomsae sequences that demonstrate their precision, technique, and understanding of the martial art.

The Korean government will provide support for these winners to participate in an education and training program that lasts approximately 3 weeks. 2. 3rd India Open International Taekwondo Championship:
The 3rd India Open International Taekwondo Championship is a prestigious event that is organized by the Taekwondo Federation of India (TFI) and will be held in Talkatora Indoor Stadium, Delhi from December 1 to 3, 2023.
